Dyno Tuning for the Waikato Region

The Waikato's only hub dyno facility - serving Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Matamata, and the wider region from our purpose-built workshop in Frankton.

The Waikato's Hub Dyno Facility

The Torque Lab is based at 32 Ellis Street, Frankton, Hamilton - right in the heart of the Waikato. We operate the region's only Mainline hub dyno, giving local customers access to the same precision tuning technology used by OEMs and professional motorsport teams - without the drive to Auckland or Tauranga.

Our hub dyno connects directly to the wheel hubs rather than using rollers. This eliminates tyre slip and heat build-up, producing accurate, repeatable results every time. It also means we can safely tune AWD and 4WD vehicles - something roller dynos struggle with.

Whether you're running a turbo import, a diesel ute, a classic V8, or a modern performance car, every tune is custom calibrated on the dyno and backed by before-and-after data. No generic file remaps - just results you can see and feel.

What We Tune

Popular Services for Waikato Customers

Diesel Ute Tuning

The Waikato runs on diesel utes. Whether it's a Hilux pulling a stock trailer, a Ranger on farm roads, or a Navara towing a boat to Raglan - we tune for the right balance of power, torque, and fuel economy. DPF-safe and dyno-verified.

Performance Car Tuning

Japanese imports, turbo builds, and modern performance cars - tuned on the hub dyno with full data logging. Haltech, Link ECU, HP Tuners, and factory ECU remapping. Every tune is custom calibrated to your specific vehicle and modifications.

Classic Cars & Hot Rods

The Waikato has a deep classic car and hot rod culture. We tune everything from carburetted originals to modern LS and Barra swaps. Our hub dyno handles rear-wheel drive classics cleanly, and we have the experience to work with both factory and standalone ECU setups.

Why Waikato Customers Choose The Torque Lab

Before The Torque Lab, Waikato customers had to drive to Auckland or Tauranga for proper hub dyno tuning. That meant a full day off work, fuel costs, and the hassle of getting the vehicle there and back - or paying for transport.

Now, the same technology is available in Frankton, Hamilton. Most towns in the region are within an hour's drive, and many customers drop their vehicle off in the morning and collect it the same day. For larger jobs, we work around your schedule.

We're not a franchise or a remote remap service. Every tune is done in person, on our dyno, by our team. You get before-and-after dyno sheets, real data, and a calibration that's specific to your vehicle - not a generic file pulled from a database.
